...new achievements!

I got a new present from my friends Narumi, Mieko and Junko. A brand new chair, all for myself. To tell the truth I really wanted a new chair to be seated with mom and dad, the three of us, together! It's really nice and I can play and eat on it. It has its own little table, which I can also use as a drum when I am in the mood for some rithm!

When bath time comes, I get very hungry, but sooo hungry that I can't wait for milk! My feet are good enough and in the meantime mom and dad prepare my dinner!!!

Sakura Matsuri

On Sunday we went to the Sakura Matsuri (Cherry blossoms festival) in Hitachi. The weather was nice even though a little cold. Cherry trees were in full bloom creating a beautiful tunnel in the street right in front of the station.
Chris' first "Matsuri". He was so excited and became the star of the day. Friends, high school girls, people on the street, everybody played with him. No need to say that he loved it. He couldn't stop looking around and kicking with his little feet on the stroller. By the time we got home he was so tired but still not ready to sleep. More play, more play! This is what he wanted! Too bad mom and dad were so tired that couldn't play anymore. A bath and milk were the only solution to calm him down. After that it was easier to put him to sleep. Good night little Prince!

Happy Birthday, mamma!!

On April 3rd was my birthday. I turned 33 years old. Seeing the number written it looks even bigger than I actually feel in my heart. It was the first birthday with my little baby. That's probably why it felt just like another day. All my attention drew away from myself and focused completely on Chris. I guess I am growing up. Or I guess this is what it means to have a baby to love and care. You start dedicating to him the time you had for yourself and he becomes the center of your world.
Overall it was a nice birthday. I pampered myself with a new body shampoo and lotion that Marcy and Roxanna bought for me. The scent is really nice: Cherry blossoms. Right in time for the Sakura Matsuri (Cherry blossoms festival) which will take place this weekend in Hitachi.
Thank you guys! It was very sweet...in every sense!!!
My husband spoiled me with a new gadget from Sony. The latest, micro-dimensions walkman. I love it and will be my companion during my commute to work every day. It holds up to 1000 songs so I won't get sick and bored of listening to the same songs all over again.
Then we went to dinner with my friend Kinuko and her boyfriend Mike, during which I was surprised with flowers and cake. Thank you Kinuko!
But I have to say again that the best, priceless present I could ever get this year was to be with my baby. Nothing can replace this wonderful feeling of inconditional love I get every time he looks at me, smiles with those two little teeth he has and streching his arms without speaking he makes me know that I am the only, special mommy for him.

Sleepy times....

I have put together a few shots of the "Sleeping Prince". From when he was just a couple of months to today.
Isn't he sweet?!

Relaxing moments!

What's better than a relaxing bath? Lately I am really enjoying this moment....I like to kick and splash in the water and love having conversations with mommy or daddy who take the bath with me. Lately I have found also a new friend and we take the bath together sometimes. She also has three little babies that play with me. The bath tub is too big by myself but my baby bath is already too small.
I am a big boy now!
