Sunday at the zoo

On Sunday we went to the zoo. It was a beautiful autumn day and not so cold, perfect to take a walk and see the animals. To tell the truth, in 4 years living in Hitachi it's also the first time for mommy to go.... good chance for both Chris and I.
We saw the elephants, lamas, penguins, goats, and all kinds of monkeys and little animals. Chris did not seem too interested....He loves dogs and cats, and gets very excited when he sees animals on TV but for some reason he was confused seeing the big animals in person. Mommy got to hold a bunny but Chris was only interested into WALKING!!! He walked through the paths all by himself, holding hands with mom or dad.....and getting upset if we dared to put him in the stroller... Can this be a sign of a future marathon runner??

A "friendly" weekend

On Sunday we all went to visit our friends Jason and Joshimi and the twins Regan and Liam. The boys played in the same room but not "together"! I guess at 1 year old it's still difficult to understand the concept of "sharing" the same toys and playing together with the same things. It will take some time but I am sure one day they will be best friends!

My First Starbucks....(NOT) coffee!

Long time no see. We have been very busy going and coming back to Europe, recovering from colds taken along the way and getting back to regular life and sleep after the jet lag.
I promise I will post more pictures of our trip to Europe soon.
For now, here is Chris at Starbucks, enjoying what may seem coffee, but instead is orange juice. His first Starbucks orange juice.
There is one thing about Chris that amazes me all the time. Either with his tummy full, empty, sick or tired, when it comes to eating and drinking he is always in the mood. There is no way you can have a drink or anything that resembles food and not give him some if he is around......huuhh, huhh, huuhhh, that's what you will hear and his hand is out grabbing it already.
A good appetite, no doubt. Let's hope this will not change when growing up he will realize that there are many things other than Starbucks cookies that MUST be eaten!
