Happy Birthday, mamma!!

On April 3rd was my birthday. I turned 33 years old. Seeing the number written it looks even bigger than I actually feel in my heart. It was the first birthday with my little baby. That's probably why it felt just like another day. All my attention drew away from myself and focused completely on Chris. I guess I am growing up. Or I guess this is what it means to have a baby to love and care. You start dedicating to him the time you had for yourself and he becomes the center of your world.
Overall it was a nice birthday. I pampered myself with a new body shampoo and lotion that Marcy and Roxanna bought for me. The scent is really nice: Cherry blossoms. Right in time for the Sakura Matsuri (Cherry blossoms festival) which will take place this weekend in Hitachi.
Thank you guys! It was very sweet...in every sense!!!
My husband spoiled me with a new gadget from Sony. The latest, micro-dimensions walkman. I love it and will be my companion during my commute to work every day. It holds up to 1000 songs so I won't get sick and bored of listening to the same songs all over again.
Then we went to dinner with my friend Kinuko and her boyfriend Mike, during which I was surprised with flowers and cake. Thank you Kinuko!
But I have to say again that the best, priceless present I could ever get this year was to be with my baby. Nothing can replace this wonderful feeling of inconditional love I get every time he looks at me, smiles with those two little teeth he has and streching his arms without speaking he makes me know that I am the only, special mommy for him.

I am so glad you had a good birthday, I wish that we could have all been there to celebrate. Someday we will see each other again and celebrate that occasion. I am so happy that Kinuko has a boyfriend...how exciting...I must email her a find out the details. Your baby is just the sweetest and it is so great to hear how much you love being a mom. Please give Shun and Chris a hug for me. Love you and miss you so much. Hey did I tell you I am going to Europe for 3 weeks in July and Italy is one of the countries I am visiting...I can't wait. Talk to you soon. Do you have a land phone?
